Senior Civil Engineer - $76,600/yr Plus Benefits and Vacation Time

Description: Performs advanced work in the areas of civil engineering under direction of the Engineering Manager; AutoCAD and Civil 3D computer design work on the development of road, intersection, and bridge construction plans, field construction grade staking, and inspection; topographic surveying; develops and inspects stormwater management plans and field practices; and carries out traffic studies for intersection improvement project design. Serve as project engineer/manager for both in-house and outside highway projects. Requirements:

Skills: Education and Experience: Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional engineering, construction, maintenance and repair, and supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Licenses and Certifications: Valid Wisconsin Class D Driver’s License Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineering License Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The Civil Engineer is required to have working knowledge of the modern principles and practices of civil engineering, especially in the areas of highway design and traffic engineering. Extensive knowledge of computerized department program software, internet access, and database, spreadsheet and word processing programs. Detailed knowledge of project management requirements, timelines, and tools. Ability to utilize word processing, database and spreadsheet programs. Working knowledge of highway construction and drainage construction, survey methods, materials, maintenance, and equipment. Working knowledge of the laws, codes, and regulations pertaining to the construction of roadways. Working knowledge of the procedures and practices applied in the inspection of work and materials used in highway construction. Ability to make complex mathematical computations, and to use surveying, drafting, and electronic calculating equipment. Ability to analyze data, research information, and compile the results into detailed recommendations. Ability to read construction plans and to interpret specifications. Ability to keep accurate and detailed records and field notes, and to write detailed technical reports. Ability to establish and maintain effective public and working relations. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the general public. Ability to work required hours of the position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds with frequent carrying of objects up to 25 pounds. Intermittent standing, walking, sitting and driving. Using hand(s)/feet for repetitive single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling, and operating controls. Description: Assists Operators in operating and/or converting machines by performing the following duties.

Requirements: Adhere to all safety guidelines and machine operating procedures. Assist in the set-up of the machine. Furnish Operator with materials, tools, and supplies. Follow all instructions and procedures noted in each print job master folder. Insure product specifications are being adhered to. Inspect product for quality, alerting Operator if a problem arises. Mount printing sleeves on to printing cylinders and install in press. Take viscosity and pH. Inspect material being printed during production run. Assist operator in roll changes and wrapping finished rolls. Operate the following equipment: Compactor, Core Cutter, and Label Printer. May be trained on Forklift and/or Grabber truck. Cross-train to operate machine in Operator’s absence. Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance. Other duties may be assigned.

Description: Perform maintenance activities through the implementation of preventative maintenance program elements and ongoing maintenance repair programs for the facilities and various packaging and processing equipment. Position requires the knowledge and ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain production, manufacturing, and building and support equipment.

Assure that machine guards are in place when machines are operating. Fabricate and position machine guards where necessary to protect operators and by-stander s. • Provide technical knowledge and expertise to solve problems of a mechanical or hydraulic/pneumatic nature. Perform electrical work, if qualified. Determine when to call in outside experts to provide maintenance assistance.
